Every then and now I bury a brand new, not-to-be-missed post deep in the dank recesses of my blog by setting its publication date to something bizarre, like January 1, 2008. This has most often happened to my Lifebird posts and is a clever ploy to keep my sightings in their proper sequence (those occurring prior to the advent of this blog are stamped with the aforementioned January 1, 2008).
There are others. I have scattered fragments of old travelogues and other dated memories that I am forever intending to publish (and sometimes I do). Occasionally, I write a post I don’t get around to finishing or, after finishing, I decide not publish (two I recently set free are listed here).
