The SCRABBLE trademark
Hasbo’s website contains the following statement about the SCRABBLE® trademark:
SCRABBLE® is a registered trademark. All intellectual property rights in and to the game are owned in the U.S.A. and Canada by Hasbro Inc. and throughout the rest of the world by J.W. Spear & Sons, PLC of Enfield, Middlesex, England, a subsidiary of Mattel Inc. Mattel and Spear are not affiliated with Hasbro.
The web pages of the Twin Cities/MN SCRABBLE Players are in no way official pages of Hasbro or Mattel. Further, while our local clubs are affiliated with the North American SCRABBLE Players Association (NASPA) and the Word Game Players’ Organization (WGPO), these pages are neither endorsed nor vetted by either organization. We, the local club members and players, are solely responsible for the content of this site.
We do not intend to violate the trademarks or copyrights of these entities or of any others. We mean to give credit where credit is due for the content found on these pages. If you have concerns about anything you find on these pages, please write to us at email@example.com.
Whenever we use the word SCRABBLE on these pages, whether or not we have correctly written the trademark (with capital letters and the registered trademark symbol), we mean “the SCRABBLE® Brand Crossword Game.”
