SCRABBLE® Dictionary and Wordlist Resources
The fourth edition of the
Official SCRABBLE® Player's Dictionary
(OSPD) was published by Merriam-Webster in June of 2005. The NSA's
dictionary committee was instrumental in creating this book, assisting the
lexicographers at Merriam-Webster by combing through four source dictionaries
for new words that meet the criteria for inclusion in the next edition of the
Official Tournament and Club Word List (OTCWL). The new version of
this list was published by Merriam-Webster in January of 2006 and is available
only to NSA members.
