Twin Cities, MN - Madison, WI: Club Challenge 2008

Director's Report

It's over for another year ...

Everyone showed up, and Kay Brick made beautiful nametags for every player with color images of
the respective state birds, LOON and ROBIN. There were 8 players out of 50 who had never played
in this tourney before.

Steve Pellinen did a masterful job of managing the pairings and the wall charts, while Sue
Hoehn followed around with her trusty laptop, recording everything and catching all the errors
in computation. Lots of other helpers made this event a repeat success!

In division 1, Andy, Lisa and Carol all placed in the top four TWO years straight! Lisa Odom
has placed in the top four all three years. Andy Bohnshak took 1st place in '07 and '08. In
Division 2, Derek was a repeat winner (2nd place in both '07 and '08).

Jason Vaysberg had the best results of anyone in the entire tournament. Nice going! Lisa Odom
and Derek Martinez also had huge cumulatives in the 1300s, way above the norm.

We'll have to get Angelina to share the photos she took... and, remember to ask ZW how he
managed to lose with 452!

Thanks everyone for a successful and fun time, and for making Minnesota proud!

Carol
